Brian Mooney (Scotland based)

Brian has been working in the field of innovation management for over fifteen years as a consultant, researcher and practice leader. He advises large and mid-sized firms on new product development, innovation and performance culture; and strategic planning. His experience includes significant exposure to financial services, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and food and drink industries. Brian’s core skills are innovation insight methods, R&D/NPD process design, strategic analysis, and executive facilitation.
Brian’s current research is in the area of high performance innovation environments in the commercial and social enterprise sectors, in particular, improving innovation performance through higher levels of meaning and motivation linked to effective innovation performance measures and processes.
Brian began his career as a consultant with Arthur Andersen, before becoming head of strategy with a division of Lloyds Banking Group. He then spent four years working with Strategos, the leading international innovation consulting boutique, followed by five years as a Director of Genesis Consulting. Brian has an honours degree in Philosophy and English Literature from Glasgow University and Masters from Strathclyde Business School.
